Where can I buy replacement tips and tubes for Tweak Enhance?

The tube and dome/tip need to be changed periodically, typically 2 or 3 times per year. When the tube or dome/tip become soft, discolored, kinked or damaged, obtain replacements at or by calling 1-888-815-3240.

Is Tweak Enhance a hearing aid?

PSAPs are intended for non-hearing impaired consumers to amplify sounds in the environment for a number of reasons, such as for recreational activities. PSAPs are not intended to compensate for impaired hearing or to diagnose, treat, cure or mitigate disease.

The Tweak Enhance device utilizes the same electrical components found in advanced hearing aids.

Can I stream music or other audio through Tweak Enhance devices?

No, Tweak Enhance devices do not stream music or take calls. Tweak Enhance uses Bluetooth Lite which transfers data only. This is to save battery life.

Should I buy one or two PSAPs?

There are benefits to wearing a PSAP on each ear. The brain processes sound coming from both ears. Among other benefits, amplification in both ears helps in background noise, improves sound clarity, and localization (the direction a sound is coming from).

Remember, you have a 30 day risk-free trial. You can try two devices, and if you decide you want to return one, you’re free to do so as long as its within the 30-day window.

Can I take phone calls through Tweak Enhance?

No, Tweak Enhance uses Bluetooth Lite which transfers data only; it does not stream. This is to save battery life.

Where can I find the Tweak Enhance app?

The Tweak Enhance smart phone app is a free download with the purchase of the instrument. The Tweak Enhance app can be downloaded at The App Store or Google Play Store.

What’s included with Tweak Enhance?
Each Tweak Enhance pair comes with two amplifiers, thin tube accessory pack, one charging base, power cable, power block, handy carrying case, instruction manual, quick start guide, and warranty card.

The thin tube accessories pack (PAIR): four common size 2B thin tubes (left and right), two sleeve tips, two vented domes, two closed domes, five cleaning lines, and cleaning tool.

What size battery does Tweak Enhance use?
Tweak Enhance uses a lithium polymer rechargeable battery. The battery life of a full charge is approximately 30 hours. Keep in mind some functions of the amplifier (volume level, noise compression, etc.) require more energy than others. You may find the battery needs recharging sooner than 20 hours. Once the voltage drops to a certain level, Enhance emits several sets of triple beeps then shuts down.

Time to fully charge: 3 hours

It’s best to charge your amplifier completely prior to each use. When not in use, turn off the amplifier to prevent unnecessary battery drain.

How will I know when the battery is getting low?

For your convenience, Tweak Enhance warns you when the battery is almost depleted. Once the battery voltage drops to a certain level, Enhance emits several sets of triple beeps then shuts down.

It’s best to charge your amplifier completely prior to each use. When not in use, turn off the amplifier to prevent unnecessary battery drain.

Is the Tweak Enhance app compatible with all smartphone operating systems?

The Tweak Enhance app is available for both iOS and Android smartphones. The app can be downloaded at The App Store or Google Play Store.

App requirements:
iPhone 5 or above with iOS 9 or higher
Android 6 or above, screen size 4″ or larger

I’m getting fewer than 20 hours of use from a charge. Why?

Twenty (20) hours is a nominal average. Battery life will vary depending on how you adjust your Tweak Enhance – more / less volume, more / less EQ adjustments, etc. More amplification requires more power to make the sound louder. More power = shorter battery life. This is normal.

What if I need a different size tip or tube?

Since the thin tube delivers amplified sound from Tweak Enhance into the ear, it’s important for the thin tube and dome/tip to fit properly in the ear. Your Tweak Enhance comes with four standard-size tubes, several dome types and sizes. Also, keep in mind the tube and tip/dome should be changed periodically, typically 2 or 3 times per year. When the tube or tip become soft, discolored, kinked or damaged, it’s time to replace them.

How many listening programs does Tweak Enhance have?

Tweak Enhance has four listening programs: Conversation, Restaurant, Traffic, Outdoor

How can I tell if a tube is for the right or left ear?

The thin tubes are marked with red lettering for the right ear and blue lettering for the left ear.

If I’m not fully satisfied, can I return Tweak Enhance for a refund?

Tweak Enhance comes with a 100% money back guarantee for the first 30 days after purchase. You may return your product to Tweak Hearing for any reason within the first 30 days to receive a refund of the purchase price excluding any shipping, handling or delivery charges. Be sure to contact us first for instructions and a Return Merchandise Authorization.

Can the volume be adjusted?

Yes, even after you have “locked in” your listening preferences, you still have flexibility to quickly adapt to different environments. The volume can be adjusted through the app or using the rocker switch on the device.

Using your smartphone: open the Tweak Enhance app. Select Volume Control from the Main Menu. Move the sliders to adjust the volume, then select “Done.”

Adjusting the volume on the Tweak Enhance instrument: quickly tap the upper portion of the rocker switch to increase the volume. With each tap of the rocker switch you will hear a confirmation beep as you increase or decrease the volume level.

Whichever method used, you will hear a confirmation beep as the volume is increased/decreased. The volume is increased/decreased in 3 dB increments. You will also be notified when you reach the maximum or minimum volume.

What if my Tweak Enhance needs service?

Call 1-888-815-3240 or email for assistance. If the issue cannot be resolved over the phone or via email, you will be provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions to send in your Tweak Enhance for service.

If I have an audiogram of my hearing, can I use it with Tweak Enhance?

Yes, Tweak Enhance has an advanced option that allows you to input and save your audiogram.

Can the Tweak Enhance be reset?

Yes. After wearing Tweak Enhance, you may decide you want to try a different amplification profile than you initially selected. However, if you simply want more bass sound, remove the sleeve tip and attach one of the dome tips instead. This may resolve the issue and resetting is no longer necessary.

Tweak Enhance may be reset by selecting “Restore Factory Settings” under “Device Options” within the Enhance app. This can be found by clicking the gear icon in the upper right corner.

I reset my Tweak Enhance to factory settings. Why is my audiogram still loaded?

Even though you restored Enhance to its default settings, the app retains the audiogram you saved. If you want to remove your audiogram completely, you must delete the Enhance app from your phone and download it again. Remember you will need to go through the startup procedure once more to setup the device(s).

Does the device come with a manufacturer‘s warranty?

The manufacturer‘s warranty period is 6 months.

This warranty covers any defect in material or faulty production, specifically excluding batteries, tips, and tubes. Any and all warranties are invalidated if the Tweak Enhance instrument has been tampered with or altered in any way, if the serial number has been altered or removed, or if any repairs have been made without authorization. The manufacturer reserves the right to repair or replace the instrument or any defective part, at manufacturer’s expense, within the limits of the warranty.

This warranty does not include a promise of specific listening improvement. Warranty service must only be performed by an authorized service center. Service performed by any unauthorized personnel voids all warranties. If service is needed call 1-888-815-3240.

Can I extend the warranty?

Moisture is the number one enemy of all PSAPs. The manufacturer of Tweak Enhance recommends daily use of a DryBoost UV® appliance to care for your new rechargeable PSAP.

A 6-month warranty extension (minimum value $125) is provided at no charge with the user’s validated purchase and regular use of a DryBoost UV appliance. This product can be purchased at  See the Enhance warranty card for complete details.

What is the return policy?

Tweak Enhance has a 30-day risk-free return policy. If you’re not completely satisfied with Tweak Enhance, simply return it to us during our normal 30-day money back guarantee period, you will be refunded in full for the purchase price (excluding shipping/handling charges) once we receive the device(s) and verify the device(s) isn’t damaged.

I wear glasses. Can I still use Tweak Enhance?

Sure, most users who wear eyeglasses can still wear Tweak Enhance comfortably. The arm of the glasses should rest close to your head. The sound tube and device will fit the space between the arm of your glasses and your ear.

When I power on my devices, which program do they start in? What about the volume level?

Once setup is complete, every time you turn on your Tweak Enhance, it will revert to the last program and volume setting you used.

What should I do if the Tweak Enhance app freezes while I’m trying to program the device?

If the app should freeze while you’re still programming the device, you will need to start over by closing the app and restarting it.

One or both or the devices are not connecting.

Make sure both devices are fully charged before connecting with the app.

One or both devices lost connection.

Did you move more than 6 feet away from your phone?
Did you connect your phone to another Bluetooth device?
Both of these things can potentially break connection between the devices and your phone.

The app doesn’t seem to be controlling the devices.

If you haven‘t used the app in the last hour or so, it may have disconnected to save battery life. Simply close the app and re-open. You will then be prompted to reconnect the Enhance device(s).

When beginning to program the devices, should I power on both devices at the same time?

Yes. Place them in your ears as you will be prompted to designate which is on the left ear and which is on the right ear.

When I “Start Over” (or Restore Factory Settings) my devices, does it matter which instrument is used for the left or right?

Yes, it matters. Although you’re starting over, the app remembers which device belongs to which ear. In other words, the left device remains for the left ear; right device is for the right ear.
